Personal Statement
I am a year-round athlete that focuses on speed and endurance. I have played football and participated in track since I was 9 years old. You will find me finishing drills and sprints first and being the first to the weight room. My coaches see me as one of the strongest and fastest players on the team. I started my track career running distance, but this season I started competing in sprint relays and hurdles. However, my strength lies in mid-distance, where I finished second in the 2016 State Championship for the 800 meter run, with a time of 2:01.89. My teammates respect me and I lead them through my dedication and never give up attitude. I would like to run track at the collegiate level and pursue a degree in Business Management. My long term goals would be to continue on after college to join the police force or fire fighting.
