Personal Statement

Growing up my home was always open to people.  My family’s faith and now mine has influenced my life by learning to always see people, add value to their lives and show love to them in the best possible way.  Many people have found care and love in our home throughout my life including my three adopted siblings from traumatic situations. Through this, I have become a compassionate person and genuinely caring for people is important to me.  Being from a family of eight, and my Dad working as a pastor, I have had to learn and grow as an athlete with more limited resources and opportunities than many of my peers.  I believe that this potential obstacle, has in fact, only strengthened my character and determination making me a better athlete than many.

I have always been big for my age, so my parents enrolled me in flag football when I was 5 years old.  I have loved football ever since.  My Dad has always reminded me in life that I can only control my attitude and effort and I strive to live with this reminder in every area of my life. Football has helped me learn this even greater.  Being part of a team is an honor and I work hard to always do my part by exemplifying good leadership, character and attitude.  My goals for high school and college are to continue to be the best I can be and learn all the necessary skills and work ethic needed to play as long as I am able.  I have chosen throughout high school to play multiple sports and be a leader on all of them encouraging my teammates to do their best too.  I believe that by playing multiple sports, I have been able to grow even more in my mental, physical and emotional game than if I had just played football.  My dream is to play at college level football and be a leader on my team that  helps push us to greater achievements.  Thank you for considering me to be a part of your team.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
