Dane Hieronimus '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dane Hieronimus from the recruiting class of 2026. My goal is to become a collegiate athlete in both cross country and track over the next three years of high school. Currently, I rank 19th in Division 1 for the 2026 XC class in the state of Michigan with a PR of 16:16. My goals for junior year include running under 16 minutes,  breaking my high school's junior record of 15:40, and helping my varsity team qualify for states. 

Post high school, I plan to further my education by receiving a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or pursue Prelaw. I believe what sets me apart from other athletes is that I am a gritty" runner that is willing to put in extra work to improve whether it be on the track or in the weight room. My coach describes me as "blue collar" ... meaning he can count on me for my best each race no matter what without excuses. Although athletics are an important part of defining who I am the aspect that I am most proud of is my academic success in the classroom and maintaining a 4.1 GPA.  

Cross Country has been my passion since junior high and I would truly love the opportunity to continue my career as a runner and be an important asset to a collegiate team. Best of luck on your team's seasons!
