Running isn't just about winning races or setting personal records for me; it's about forging connections, striving to improve each day, and embracing challenges. My name is Sawyer Laflan and I am currently a sophomore at Ogallala High School (Class of 2026). Success, to me, involves finding joy in both enjoyable and challenging aspects of life. While growth isn't always easy, the right mindset and supportive people pave the way for success.
College, for some people is a label, but for me, it's a journey to success. Along the way I have overcome many obstacles, had my down periods, and encountered many doubters. The strength to keep pushing is what makes my journey something I'm proud to call my own. I aspire to bring dedication, sportsmanship, professionalism, and personal commitment to a college program, not only to enhance myself but also those around me. An opportunity to pursue my passion at the next level would be a dream fulfilled.
