I have been running since I was 5 years old with the school teams and various camps. I ran my first 5k Turkey Trot when I was 10 years old, and have always had long distance endurance. In the spring of 2019 I decided to try spring track for the first time, and there I found Steeple Chase. After only running this race twice, i broke my school record at the state qualifying race. My passion since then has been for the steeple chase. My coaches feel I am very coachable and a good role model to the younger athletes on the team. My coaches feel I work well with my teammates and children at summer camps, I have always had the ability to direct people in the correct order, and organize them into team sports.
In the classroom I struggle with ADHD but give 100% on and off the track. Out of school I am part of BSA Troop 1776, and I am hoping to make my eagle scout before the year is out.
I wish to pursue a profession of being a health and physical education teacher. I hopefully will get the chance to be a coach some day, and would like to give back what so many coaches have given me.
