Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Levar Russell. I attend Pickering High School and I am entering my final year of high school. I just recently began seriously competing in December 2012 and Track & Field has become a significant part of my life. I am hoping to further this passion into my post-secondary education and the Olympics. It is my goal to win gold in the 200m and 400m events at the world stage. I prefer to compete with individuals who provide a challenge to push me so I can reach my potential. My education aspirations exceed my Track & Field goals as school is my first priority. I will be studying Biology, with a minor in Criminal Justice. When I am not studying or competing, I assist younger inexperienced athletes at my school, preparing them for competition and aid my coach with nutrition and exercise plans. I am a dedicated student athlete with a goal of competing at the collegiate level.
