Sawyer Delgado '25 Recruiting Profile

I strive on competition, but realize the gains and losses are not made on event day.  It takes hard work and dedication to improve during practice and continually push myself.  I value my teammates as we continue to test and push each other in training.  I have had the privilege to run against great varsity athletes as a freshman and have held my own.  I have worked under great coaches who values rest and nutrition to get the most out of me throughout the season.  The direction and drive from my teammates helped propel me to advance to regionals in 4 events (400m, 800m, 4x400m, HJ) as a freshman.  Then earning 1st place in both the 400m and HJ to advance to state.  I look to build on my past success to continue to improve as my career progresses.
