I am a cross country and track and field runner. It's built into my DNA, it's what I think about, it's what people know me for, and it's what I do. From the time that I was in little league soccer, all I ever wanted to do was be the fastest and run the longest. My passion for the sports of cross country and track and field, stem from my dad. He was a division 1 runner in track and field and cross country at Marshall University, setting records in the indoor and outdoor 800m and DMR. I have a deep desire to be an equal to or even better runner than my dad. Every year that I run I have shown significant improvements. I have improved from a 16:50 in the 5K my freshman year to a 15:48 my sophomore year. I also improved in the 1600m from 4:43 my freshman year to 4:20 my sophomore year. I am a hard worker who does what is necessary to improve, I have a drive that is hard to equal and realize that hard work can outlast talent. I want to be part of a team that shares those qualities and can help pull the best out of me. I'm also willing to work just as hard academically as I do on the course and the track. My times on the course and the track and my academics going forward will prove this.
