Charles (CJ) Fredrickson '24 Recruiting Profile

My sophomore year was my first time performing at very high level at the state track meet. I did not perform to the level I desired, and it propelled me with a strong desire to return the following season. The 2023 track season my junior year was unbelievable for the team and myself. Our 4X400 team was seeded 7^th going into the WIAA State Track Meet. We won the championship in a time of 3.18.24 with an average split of 49.5. Our team also broke the school record from 1971 by a second. I also competed in the 4X800 relay, placing 11^th at State. I missed qualifying for State in the 400 by .07 seconds. The goals for my senior year are to return to state in three events.

I am very fortunate to be in a program that trains me to be able to meet these goals of mine and I am very thankful for that. I've learned teamwork, leadership, responsibility, and compassion from the amazing coaches at our school. I am looking for a program that is a good fit for me athletically and academically. I believe I have the ability to compete at the college level not only because of my talent but because of my work-ethic and leadership skills. As a Captain of the track team I know I have what it takes to be on your team!
