My name is Jake Laborde and I am a 6'2", class of 2022, outside hitter for Hollis Brookline High School in Hollis, NH. I have been a three-sport athlete for six years and grew up playing baseball and basketball starting in grade school. I switched to volleyball over a year ago and fell in love with the sport, I play every chance I get which includes indoor, grass, and beach. Due to COVID my sophomore season of baseball was canceled and I started playing beach volleyball, later that year I tried out for my school team, made varsity, and was voted team captain! I led my team to a 10-2 record, losing to the only undefeated team in both regular season and playoffs. After my first season of indoor volleyball, I was voted First Team All-State as an outside hitter.
I am starting my first year of club volleyball this fall of 2021, I am looking to grow my skills and knowledge of the game. I have made great strides in just over a year and I am excited to continue this journey.
Academics are important to me, I currently have a 3.77 GPA and a STRONG passion for volleyball!! Volleyball has taken me to places I would never have imagined and I am excited to see where it will take me in the future.
