My name is Donald Ray Smith Jr, my goals when I attend college are to maintain a 3.3 GPA while also being the best athlete I can be. With being a student-athlete you have to be a student first so my goal is to manage my school and volleyball. Another goal of mines is to be able to adapt quickly to the huge skill gap from high school volleyball to college volleyball. What makes me a good candidate for a team is that I'm a coachable player, I can take advice and apply it to my game automatically. What makes me different from other recruits is that I'm a fast learner and I'm patient. I just started playing volleyball this season for the first time ever I never played volleyball before. However, after my first real volleyball game on jv, I was given the privilege to join our varsity volleyball team. During my off season I fell more in love with the sport and spent my whole summer going to open gyms and doing training with professional coaches and doing what I had to do to become the best version of myself as a player. I am playing club for NJVBC now until my school season starts up
