Archer Mist '25 Recruiting Profile

I am excited about playing volleyball. I love every game and every practice. When I am playing, I am fully present. My worries fall away, I don't think about school or friends. There is nothing but being on the court and trying to do better with every serve, set, block and dig.  I will bring this love of the game to your team. 

I also love analyzing the game. Asking questions about what made that a good set; how I can put my hitters with fewer or late blocks; who is hot and who is struggling and what role can I play to make the team better. I enjoy seeing the team play better than it has and even like trying to figure out how to get the team out of a funk when we aren't playing well. 

We are in the middle phase of our club season. We've done two of our larger tournaments and have three more to go (Spokane, SoCal Showcase and Nationals).  My connection with all of our hitters is getting better and I am rescuing more balls that would otherwise be overpasses.  As always I am working on faster and stronger sets to all positions especially the outside when I get sucked into the right side of the court.  Also, we are currently incorporating the D-ball in addition to the BIC.

Recently I feel that my setting has reached a new level. I'm focused on taking the ball at a higher point and moving things faster. My sets are more consistent, delivered at a quicker pace and are harder to read. Part of this is increasing my jump height as well as having hitters that can hit the more advanced sets. Given the team I am playing on, I am really looking forward to playing a more complex offense.
