Alejandro Cheline '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alejandro Cheline and I have been playing water polo for 10 years. I have great game IQ, and I have played in many high level tournaments such as ODP Nationals, Futures, and JO's. I play club for San Jose Express and The Harker School during high school season. Throughout my years of playing goalie I have had the opportunity to train and work with many amazing teammates and coaches such as 3x olympian, Viktor Nagy and 2x national champion and olympic team alternate, Jack Bowen. This has given me exposure to a variety of methodologies and coaching styles that I have been able to mold together to improve my technique. It also demonstrates my experience and adaptability.  I am hoping to continue my education and play water polo in college at the highest level. Last year in 2022 I was the starting goalie in my high school's first-ever CCS Open division game against Bellarmine College Prep. I followed that up last year in 2023, when I helped my team as starting goalie to win our league finals tournament against Los Gatos, playing all 4 quarters. We earned the 8th seed in CCS Open division to play Bellarmine again. I have also made multiple ODP teams for the PAC zone. I have traveled to Colorado Springs for Holiday Camp, as well as Austin and Chicago to play water polo at the highest level possible for my age group at the ODP Nationals. This year in 2024, I made the Youth PAC Blue team and we took 2nd place overall in the final championship game. We had wins over the #1 seed Coastal Red, and #3 seed North-East zone Red. We lost in the finals to So-PAC Red where I only let in 3 goals in the entire second half of our 12-16 loss. This is a testament to my hard work and commitment to improve.

• CCS: All-CCS Team Honorable Mention
• SCVAL(V): All-league first-team, League Co-champions
