Finding the right college is one of the most important milestones in life. Playing softball, the sport that I love, has not only shown that I have the ability to work hard and persevere through the many obstacles that come my way, but prove, that I as a person can grow and learn from my surroundings. In the classroom, on the field, and in everyday situations I have overcame many obstacles and obtained leadership skills as well as work ethic and credibility. My freshman year took a slight turn when I suffered from a tragic, knee injury that forced me to forfeit the season. I continued to show up to everything, even though I could not participate, including practices, games, workouts, and any events because I didn’t want to fall behind and let my peers down when it was my time to provide again. My high school team went on to play in regionals and I was there cheering through everything. Winning State two years in a row, as well as the World Series with my travel ball team, my sophomore and junior year, has been the highlight of softball career. I hope to find a college that fits my courageous and funny personality as well as my athletic and academic goals the best. I pray that the college is as lovable and friendly as I am. I know that whatever decision I decide to make, I will no doubt put forth one hundred percent and be as driven as I know I can because that’s the person I’ve grown to be and only dream to be.
