Personal Statement
My name is Rebekkah Keller, class of 2016. I am a flexible teachable player that plays hard and gives 110%. I love the whole game of softball. From being in the dugout cheering on my teammates, being on the field playing the strongest offensive possible, and once on first base seeing how fast I can steal the bases!
I am a Senior at Academy for Academic Excellence Charter in Apple Valley, California. Currently my GPA is 3.95/4.19. Softball has been apart if my life for many years. I am now playing for tEAMSMith 18u Gold travel ball team. I'm on my forth season of varsity softball, my main position is center field and as captain,I am occasionally short, 3rd, and catcher when the need arises.
Aside from my travel ball commitments, I do some speed training at High Desert Sport Training. I work with Jesse Angel for slapping. I have worked with BB Bates of UCLA (power) and Braja'e Washington of UTexas (slap/bunting).
My biggest asset is speed. I've hit the 20.5 mph mark on the treadmill during speed training. I was timed at the USSSA Pretty In Pink Showcase in Palmdale: home to first was 2.44 seconds and my home to home speed was 10.4 seconds. With bat contact in a game situation, I can get to first base in 2.7-8 seconds (highlighted in the video).
Please check out my videos, look at my stats, and see if I would be a great fit for your program... And then, let's connect!
