Personal Statement
I can't remember how long I have been playing softball, but I will always remember the amount of dedication and hard work it takes to achieve one's goals. Ever since I was little, playing t-ball and coach pitch, it has been a dream of mine to get into college and play at a professional level. I can not explain how much it would mean to me to obtain a scholarship to the university of my dreams and be able to play for that school. I am looking forward to a Kinesiology and sports medicine major. I am keeping my options open to where I would like to spend my college career, academic wise as well as softball.
The journey through high school is a challenge to keep a balance of my GPA, club softball, high school softball, working out, and spending time with family and friends. I believe the reason I have made it this far is due to the long hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment. I have been through a couple club teams gaining higher competitiveness and with each one gaining more and more confidence with who I am as a pitcher and an athlete. The difference between me and all the other softball recruits out there is that coming from a small school in a small town it takes a lot of commitment to get to a competitive level; I am willing to work my way to get to where I want to be. Because of the size of the schools I play, it is necessary for me to set personal goals before every practice and every game in order for me to play to my best ability. With the support of my family and community I have the determination to play at the highest level.
I am trying to keep my eyes and options open as to where I will attend college. I am very excited about my future and I am ready for the hard work it is going to take to get there! Thank you for taking the time to read my statement!
