Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was nine years old. I've always wanted to go to college and play and then hopefully go to the professional league. A few years ago, I had written on a piece of paper my "life plan" which included playing college ball, getting my degree, going to the professional league, and then going back to school to get my Masters. My education is very important to me and I strive to be a good student. So far, I'm been placed mostly in honors classes and take AP classes as well.
When it comes to my team, I like to have a strong relationship with them on and off the field. I believe that this allows us to play more as a team and be a family. On the field, I always like to communicate which is one of my biggest contributions to the team.
Over the last several summers, I have volunteered my time to a preschool where I assist the teachers in their class. The last two summers, I got a chance to work with the toddler group which really made me want to work in a field where I can help children and adults.
Overall, softball is as big a part of my life as my education and I hope for the opportunity to continue to succeed in both.
