I've been very blessed to have a range of life experiences already, but what I enjoy most is playing sports and more specifically, team sports. I've been able to have experiences playing softball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse and flag football and I enjoy the competition, discipline, team environment and physical effort each sport requires. I've also learned that keeping high academic achievement with daily practices, games and weekend workouts requires time management skills and discipline, which will be required to be a collegiate student-athlete. In addition to maintaining a disciplined mind set and having good time management skills, I also enjoy the energy from being on a team and working hard with other girls that want to succeed at softball. Separately, I try to be well rounded in other areas of my life, whether playing piano, being involved with school activities, like Beta club or going on ski vacations with my family. I believe those activities help me maintain balance on my athletic, academic, and extracurricular goals so I can always give my entire effort when I am on the field. I love softball and working hard to improve my fundamentals and doing workouts to get stronger and faster and I also love the mental part of the game, knowing that I need to continually bounce back when I don't succeed. If I were to summarize why I am a good individual to play softball at the college level, it would be simply that I love sports, specifically softball; and have proven the ability to manage my time with many activities simultaneously; maintain straight A's, so I will always be eligible to play; have parents that have been very supportive of me athletically and academically; and enjoy everything team sports has to offer that will make me into a well rounded graduate that will represent your school well in both my post-school professional and personal life.
