My name is Alexis Valdes and I am a student athlete and I want to continue my softball career at the college level. My collegiate goals include excelling in my schooling and continue to grow as a person as well as a student athlete. I would like to pursue a career in criminal justice and psychology.
I am a dedicated player who strives to be the best I can be in all areas. I have been playing softball since the age of six. I started as a recreational player and I have played on competitive teams that traveled and competed in many tournaments such as USSSA,PGF, Showcases, world series , as well as Nationals. I work hard too excel as a catcher, as an outfielder and a hitter. I played on my high school Junior Varsity team as an eighth grader and my freshman year. As a sophomore I am the starting catcher for the Varsity team. I am always respectful towards myself, family, my teammates, coaches, and other authority. You need me on your team because I am dedicated, compassionate, hardworking, physically fit, skilled in my positions, an excellent teammate, coachable, respectful, and I love and enjoy playing the game. I am also an excellent student and I strive for all A's in my classes and I challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. This fall I was awarded for my grades and achievements in my academics.
I am different from other recruits because I always strive to continuously improve. I challenge myself , I accept direction from coaches, I believe in myself which allows me to be confident in myself as a player. I am thankful for my opportunities that are given to me and I take full advantage of it. I exercise my work ethic by doing the extra work outside of mandatory practices and lessons to give myself the best shot in being the best player possible. I am looking for a coaching program that will allow me utilize my skills, expand my knowledge of the game, a program that challenges me, a dedicated program that will help me reach my goals as a player.
