Big Ten schools have been keeping tabs on third baseman/catcher Giana Raitano, and who wouldn't be interested in a player whose style of play is reminiscent of Michigan alum shortstop Abby Ramirez? A solid switch-hitter, Raitano can put the ball out of the park from either side. Equally impressive on defense, she can maneuver on the field from third base to behind the plate.

- Hello, My name is Steven Ball. I have been a professional hitting and pitching instructor for over 30 years. I have also coached fast pitch for over 20 years, including being a head coach for the Beverly Bandits. I am writing this on behalf of Giana Raitano, who currently plays for the Beverly Bandits 14u Premier team. I would like to start out by saying I have been G's hitting instructor since she was 9 years old. I knew from the moment I met her that she was the real deal. When I became the head coach for the 12u Beverly Bandits Futures team I made sure that I took G with me. She is a fantastic softball player and I can't even begin to tell you what a great person she is. She is as much fun to coach as she is to watch. She is a total team player and is extremely coachable. I would have her on my team any day. I would also like to compliment her parents.
