Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
I am a junior at Rising Sun High School in MD. I began playing softball at 8 years old and have steadily grown as a ball player and increased my softball IQ. I typically pitch or play 1B but have practiced and/or played other positions. Although I love to pitch, when I’m not pitching, I equally love playing 1B...or any position my team needs. I always want to be on the field helping my team defensively and offensively. I hit with power; I hit my first homerun (over 200ft fence) when I was 12.
My goal is to play softball at the collegiate level at a school that best fits my academic and athletic objectives. I believe that I will be a strong contributor, solid teammate, and competitor for any future program I will play for.
I value coaches who provide constructive feedback and hold players accountable. I am a well-rounded student athlete and dedicated to academics just as much as I am to my sport.
As a former military child (my dad has since retired) I’ve traveled and lived overseas and in several states. I’m quick to adapt, dependable, and resilient.
