My name is Ryan Keller. I am 14 years old and I’ve been playing softball for eight years. In 7th grade I made the Newburgh (NY) Varsity softball team and won the Varsity pitcher of a week award in the eighth grade for tri-county area. I am mostly a pitcher and 2nd baseman but I have been called upon to play a variety of positions like 1st base, 3rd base, center field, shortstop, etc. I guest played for one of our local teams also this year and we took second place at the Nationals Tournament in Myrtle Beach this July with the Devils from Montgomery, NY. I am definitely a team player and I get along well with my coaches and teammates.
In 7th and 8th grade I was in all honors classes but it wasn’t until 8th grade that I realized how important academics are and I plan to continue to excel in school.
I currently play for the OC Bombers 16u travel team.
I hope to one day achieve my dream of becoming a D1 or D2 softball player.
I believe that I am a good candidate for your team because I am an encouraging and supportive teammate. I am a hardworking player and student and there is nothing I want more than to do great in softball.
