Bailey Padgett '23 Recruiting Profile

The game of softball captured my attention many years ago, and I plan for it to be a part of who I am for many years to come. Because of softball I have been fortunate enough to have met people from all around the world, people who have coached me and others who I have played with. Because of softball I have had the chance to travel and play in some unique places and I look forward to traveling and playing in different places over time. Because of softball I have been able to develop some great life skills that will carry me beyond the game. I have learned how to be a teammate and play the role/position that leads to the success of the team , encouraging and being encouraged, holding others accountable and being held accountable, acknowledging mistakes and working to be better, facing injuries and getting healthy, rejoicing in success and learning from failure. The possibility to play softball beyond high school and to continue to grow as a person through the game is exciting. I look forward to finding a program that will allow me to play as I work towards my degree and career, that will challenge me to be better today than I was yesterday, and will open up opportunities to give back to the game that has given me so much.
