Personal Statement
My goals are to play softball at the collegiate level while studying Sports Medicine (Kinesiology). My top priority is to maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA, as student comes first in student-athlete. I was on the Varsity Softball team as starting catcher for Saginaw High School in Fort Worth, TX, then moved to Sparks, NV in 2013. While in Sparks, NV, I attended Reed High School, where we won the 2015 Nevada State Title for Softball (37-2 Record and Ranked #25 in the Country by MaxPreps). I have moved around several times during my high school years, which included attending four (4) different high schools in four (4) years. Each time I try-out for a new coach, I make it evident that I am hard-working and dedicated to doing whatever is necessary to help the team's chances for winning games, whether that may be moving from catcher to first base or playing more as a utility role. I am a 2016 graduate. I just graduated with a 3.0 my senior year.
I tend to establish myself as a vocal leader on and off the field. Most teammates are comfortable with coming to me for help outside of softball and feel confident with asking me anything.
