Personal Statement

I would like to study Pre Pharmacy and continue to medical school with a degree in Pharmacy.
I am a very versatile player. There is not one position on the field that I will not play, except catcher, that is a talent I feel I do not possess. I want my collegiate experience to include softball. I would love to bring a sense of pride and accomplishment back to this community and let players see that you can succeed at the next level of play.
I am different from other recruits in the fact that there is no player more willing to "take one for the team" than me. I have tried to improve every aspect of my game since 8th grade, when I focused on softball. I had taken upon myself to get pitching lessons to try to help our school program, for that is where we struggle, even though I do not plan on pitching further than my high school career. I started taking batting lessons from Larry Thomas in Grove City, Ohio to improve my batting skills for both my high school and travel teams. I can confidently step into the batters box right or left, slap or bunt and swing through with confidence. I developed a "quick release" throw with a velocity to beat most runners with help from my travel coaches.
My character speaks for itself. I love being part of a team. I love helping other players that may need help developing skills. I communicate well and solve problems. I am a very engaged student in the classroom. I am currently attending Eastland Career Center for Welding so that I may be able to work my way through college and eliminate some financial burdens for myself and my family.
