Personal Statement
The one thing that you should know about me is that I am DRIVEN. Driven to be the best student athlete that I can be in order to play softball at the collegiate level. I have been playing competitive softball since I was eight years old because a softball field is where I have the most fun and being a part of a team brings out something in me that nothing else does.
Fundamentals are something that I take very seriously, working on my game and getting better is something that is always on my mind. I am very versatile and can play any position, this has allowed me to gain a strong knowledge of the game. Hitting is an area that I excel in and I consider myself a power hitter, hitting multiple homeruns. I have excellent ball handling skills; a great stretch at first base, great range when playing middle infield and I can track down a ball in the outfield, as well as, have the arm to throw a girl out from the outfield. Having all of these skills I am still very coachable and I am always willing to learn new things to help me improve my game. As the youngest player on my 16u travel team, I was voted team captain by my peers and I strive to promote enthusiasm and provide encouragement to my teammates.
My love for this game can't even be described in words.
I am as driven in academics as I am at softball, maintaining a high GPA and taking advanced level classes are a priority for me. I plan on attending a college and obtaining a Mathematics Degree to continue to learn a subject I love. I hold myself to a high level of success when it comes to school.
I also volunteer with my Christian youth organization at various times throughout the year.
