Hi! My name is Emelia. I’m from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. I am a freshman at Laurel Highlands High school. I’m a primary position catcher with secondary positions at third base and shortstop. I like to keep my team pumped up and informed from behind the plate. I love being a catcher because I get to see the field from a different perspective and get action on each pitch.
My accomplishments have included being named a three-time All American. Once by USA Softball, and twice by USSSA softball as an All American direct invite. My most recent honor was being chosen as a Pre-Season Rookie by Under Armour Softball Factory thanks to metrics highlighting a 63mph over hand velocity, a 1.8 pop time and consistent ball exit velocity speeds in the high 60’s.
This summer I helped my USA All American Central Atlantic (Region 2 Stripes) team earn a 3rd place finish at the USA Softball All-American Games in Oklahoma City.
My main goal is to find a school where I can excel at my sport and in my studies. I’m interested in pursuing a career in the Criminology, Sports Medicine, Business, or Psychology fields.
