Personal Statement

My post high school aspirations are to play collegiate softball and obtain a four year degree at a university.  Through faith, perseverance, and hard work, I have been able to overcome severe scoliosis and return to the sport I love after taking a year off for spinal fusion surgery. I was released to return to softball in December of my freshman year.   Although this was the hardest time in my life, it taught me many things like perseverance and discipline as well as grew me in my faith.   A quote I always remembered during this time was, "its a slow process, but quitting wont speed it up."  I appreciate the slow process because it has given me a new appreciation for the game, as well as becoming a big part of my testimony.  I was able to assist in leading my varsity high school team to win a state championship, earn MVP in the State tournament as well All Region honors.  Playing ball is not just a sport for me, it is a blessing and an honor to be able to come back to the game and sport I love!  My goal is to use the chance I have been given to honor God  in everything. I have had to work harder than most to get back to where I was and I am willing to work harder than others to get better every day.  My faith has shaped and molded my life and if I am given the chance to join a collegiate team, I will be honoring and glorifying God every day by practicing and playing to best of my ability.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
