My name is Jessica Pugmire, I'm a senior at Hillcrest High School in Utah. I have been playing softball since I was in elementary school. My primary position is 3rd base, where I started varsity as a Freshman. I also play catcher and am willing to learn any position or fill in when needed. I have an all around love for the game, playing softball is what I love to do. I hope to never stop learning and improving my performance, on and off the field. I hope to remain a well-rounded student athlete as I always have been with dedication to the game and keeping my GPA above a 3.5 I believe in being a student before an athlete and to be a good athlete you have to be a good student. I have been told I have the most hustle. I will never walk, never back down from a challenge, always play to my abilities and then some, and always give it 110%. I remain committed to any challenge or task. I have quiet leadership and lead by example. I believe in staying humble while having self-confidence on and off the field.
As student I believe grades should always come first as I said before. I strive for perfection academically and in softball. I never let me GPA drop below a 3.5 and my letter grades drop below a B. Although I might not be an amazing test taker or straight A student, which I will admit, I try my hardest to reach that point and will never stop trying and do what ever it takes.
My goals through college are to never stop learning. I want to expand my mind and grow as an individual. I hope to find what I love to do and start that path to success. I hope to make the traveling team for softball and develop new skills in the game.
