Personal Statement

Hello my name is Alyssa Keesee, my teammates call me Goose! I am a 2026 RHP from Gretna Virginia, I am a Sophmore at Gretna High School. I am currently the starting pitcher for our Varsity team. I also pitch for my travel team Maroon Crush and when not pitching I am playing Short Stop. My love of the game began at the age of 5 when I started playing T-Ball. When I was 7 years old I was able to play kid pitch softball, I rotated through all positions on the field but when I stepped on that pitchers mound things changed for me and I haven't looked back since! I am a two time All American Games pitcher, in 2020 I received the All American Ace Award and in 2021 I received the All American Defensive Wizard Award. I was recommended to play at the Softball Youth Elite Level from my performances at the All American Games. This past October(2021) was a huge accomplishment for me, I had 22 Strikeouts at the Winter World Series in Myrtle Beach and we took home the Championship. I have worked extremely hard and sacrificed a lot to get to this point in my life but every minute has been worth it! I have worked with Denny Tincher the last several years, his constant motivation has pushed me beyond my comfort zone but has also shown me how much more I am capable of. He was able to see things in me that I couldn't see myself and he continues to push me each and every lesson to be better than I was the day before.  He deserves so much credit for the pitcher that I am today. I have an amazing support system, my parents have sacrificed so much to help me chase my dreams. I am determined to play at the college level, my goals are high and I will continue to rise giving it everything I have.
