Personal Statement
My name is Riley Renee Rossbach (Triple R) and I have been playing fast pitch softball for as long as I can remember. It is my absolute favorite sport to play. There is no greater feeling than waking up in the morning knowing that I have the opportunity to play softball all day. I hope to get the once in a lifetime opportunity to play softball at the collegiate level.
I am a passionate and dedicated team player who is always giving 110% effort. I’m the first one on the field and the last one to go home. My strengths in softball include; my power, whether it be throwing or hitting, my ability to react fast both in the field and on the base path, and also my overall game knowledge such as knowing what the situation is at all times.
I am a team leader who leads both by my drive and my passion for the game. I lead by example; of never giving up and always cheering on my teammates to do the same. I am a very coachable player who will always ask questions such as How can I improve my game?and What can I do to help?
I joined the swim team in the off season in order to work on my arm, leg, and over all core strength to make me a better softball player.
When it comes to what schools I am looking at, I am very open about where I may go but am mostly looking at schools varying anywhere from large to medium size schools in the Midwest (Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa) but I am very open to going anywhere. In the long run I am just hoping to find a college that fits me best and yet still challenges me both in the classroom and on the field.
My realistic athletic goals are to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level, make an impact for the better on any team that I end up getting the opportunity to play with and inspiring girls everywhere to follow their dreams.
