Personal Statement
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Grace Belcher. I am currently a Junior at Chapmanville Regional High School, class of 2018. I have played softball since I was six years old, and it is my true passion. During my middle school years, I was a multi-sport athlete participating in softball, volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading for the Madison Redhawks. I was All Conference in softball and basketball, as well as captain for volleyball and cheerleading teams. Point Guard was my starting position during my freshman year on the girls' basketball team. As a junior in high school, I plan to concentrate on softball and academics, although, I am considering playing volleyball to help keep myself conditioned for softball. My primary position in softball is catcher, although in middle school and on my travel team I played all over the field, except pitcher. On my high school team, I am the starting Varsity catcher.
My future goal is to use my softball skills to help me obtain a college degree. As a junior in high school, I am undecided on my field of study. However, a few of fields I am interested in are physical therapy, fashion, & healthcare. I have maintained a 4.0 or higher GPA all through my educational career. I will continue to work hard in and out of the classroom to reach all of my goals. I feel I would be a great asset on any team, because I am a coachable, hardworking and very determined student athlete. I look forward to hearing and communicating with any level college that may be interested.
