Anna O'Shaughnessy '25 Recruiting Profile

As the tallest girl in my elementary school, my parents enrolled me playing both volleyball and basketball at an early age and I have continued playing both up to sophmore year when my love of basketball won out. My reason for choosing basketball over volleyball is that I love the physical aspect of the game, the pace the game is played as as well as the intensity. In basketball, there is always so much to learn, techniques to work on, footwork to improve on, new plays to learn etc. As a child of Irish immigrants, I recently played with the Irish u18 team in the four nations tournament which was a huge honor for me and a highlight of my basketball career to date.

As I look to start my college search, I would like to find a school that would help me grow as an athelete and student. I would bring my work ethic, sense of humor and passion for the game with me. I believe one of my strenghts is in my ability to read the other teams and my overall game IQ.
