Destin Emmert '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Destin Shyanne Emmert.

I am class of 2025, a 6’1”, point forward, from Analy Highschool in Sebastopol, California with a 4.0 gpa.  

This year as a sophomore I am one of the main pieces on the varsity team starting the first half the season averaging 8pts and 12rebs.

Last year (2022) I was the only freshman on my school’s 26-6 varsity team where I earned significant minutes in our State Championship playoff run.

AAU 2022 - I was also the only 2025 playing up on my Bay City 16u gold gauntlet AAU team in San Francisco, California where I earned a starting position and had a season high 15 points 20 rebounds and 7 blocks (in different games)

As a hardworking and passionate player, it is my goal to play D1 college basketball. With my team / rebound / defense first mindset, I sincerely believe that I can be a great fit and asset for almost any team.

On the court I believe my size and versatility allow me to be dominant on the offensive and defensive boards, and play dominant defense.  I look to anchor the defensive for the teams I play for, communication is key to controlling the middle and causing problems for the other team.  

On offense I really like to push the break & use my ability to see the court and my quarter-back like mindset to set up teammates.  In the half court I can score in the post when not doubled but prefer to be using my versatility and shooting ability to create opportunities for me and the rest of the team.

Theater Production - stage manager / fall play lead

Drama Club - Club representative

Video Club - Vice president

I believe that I have the strong desire, skills, work ethic, character, & passion needed play college basketball be an asset at the D1 level.  I’m looking forward to attending classes, maintain good grades, obtaining a good education, while being a positive community member.

I can’t wait to find where the next step in my journey will be.
