Personal Statement
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." - Michael Jordan. One thing that people most admire about me, is that I do not give up. For me personally, giving up is not an option. When I am in a situation where most people would give up, I work harder. I work with one goal in mind, to be the best that I can be. When i was younger I used to say, "I am going to be the first female in the NBA." Well, I have not given up on that dream. In fact, in my own way, I am still pursuing it. What I have come to realize is that what I was really saying was that I want to exceed the expectations and boundaries that people set for me. As a child I realized that a female being in the NBA would have shocked the world. So, what is my goal in life? Well, it is the same thing that it has always been. To shock the world.
