Personal Statement

Hello my name is Kayla Shines and I’m a junior of the graduating class of 2021 in high school and my passion is working with special need individuals and that’s why I want to pursue a bachelors and a masters degree in Special Education in college.  Once I’m able to achieve this then I want to pursue teaching so that I will be able to help them more.  I love to cook, sew, putting together Lego pieces, play Scrabble, Monopoly, video games, and solving puzzles.

I love to problem solve and fix things to make them better.  I’m also a member of my church choir and is part of the usher board too.   In school besides sports I am a participant of the beta club.

I believe that I’m a good fit for any basketball program because I’m a hard worker and dedicated player, I follow directions, I never quit or stop hustling no matter what the outcome of the game is because you suppose to give your all while you are out there on the court and I’m willing to do whatever it takes for my team to be able to win.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
