Lillian Holland '25 Recruiting Profile

My main focuse for almost seven years has been Tae Kwon Do where I earned my adult first degree black belt at the age of 14, I am very fast very quick on my feet and when I set goals I won’t quit until I have mastered them. I found my love for basketball my freshman year, knowing I was behind other players that have played for many years longer than me I put in 2-3 hours a day 6 days a week for the past two years to not just catch up but surpass my piers on the court. I love basketball because unlike martial arts, I can win as a team rather than just as an individual. I trained with the boys varsity team my sophomore year so my defense is tough and my three-point shots are fast and precise under heavy pressure. I have also trained multiple Summers at IMG in Florida and PGC in Boise to help sharpen my skills and feed the thirst to constantly better my performance on the court. I eat, sleep, and breathe basketball everyday/all day! When I’m not training I still continue to help manage the boys basketball program, occasionally the coaches let me coach parts of the game and call the plays and players positions. My hard work and determination has earned the respect of my coaches from both boys and the girls programs. Ultimately my plans are to play for the most competitive college team I can be placed on, where I can be challenged to bring out my personal best both as an individual player and as a member of a team. I am testing for my second degree black belt this year as I have maintained my training to constantly push my inner toughness and skill both in the art and on the court. My dream is to give back to girls basketball serving as a coach one day to both teach my players to win and never give up on their dreams.
