My name is Jayla Penney and currently I am playing AAU Basketball for Rockford Heat and I have had the honor of being a varsity starter at Rockford Christian High School in Rockford, IL for three years in a row. I was named All-Conference and All Tournament Team all three years. I have received the Subway Athlete of the Week award for three years in a row as well. I was named MVP my Freshman year and named Offensive MVP my Sophomore and Junior year.
As my Junior year is coming to an end, I am beginning my search for a college basketball program where I can make an immediate impact, as well as further develop my skills and strengths. I would love to play sports on a very competitive college level. I have a strong academic desire for excellence and desire a college that will be able to provide the type of structure for me to excel on and off the court. I have grown up in a Christian environment and welcome the opportunity to continue that growth in a Christian environment.
