Personal Statement
Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I am excited to continue to grow academically, athletically and personally by studying psychology in college. My goal is to obtain, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree. Growing up with two brothers, I’ve always been active and competitive, so sports are a natural fit. With the support and sacrifices of my parents, I have been blessed with the opportunities to play basketball, soccer and volleyball from elementary school into high school. As a multisport athlete, I’ve demonstrated the ability to balance my academics and athletics.
By playing sports, I’ve learned the importance of hard work and dedication by having to come back from injuries and illness in the past. I’ve never enjoyed sitting on the sideline therefore I work hard to get back on the court. I credit myself for being coachable as well as a supportive teammate. I embrace my role as a leader and mentor to my younger teammates. I’m often asked by my coaches to assist with various sports camps or training.
