Personal Statement
I have played basketball my entire life. I have tried to work harder than everyone else when I step on to the court. In return, basketball has given me many things. Like life long friendships, the ability to deal with adversity on and off the court. Basketball has taught me how to be a better teammate and person. It has also taught me that if I work hard enough, anything is possible. I have a 3.8 GPA and I credit my parents and coaches for teaching me that discipline and hard work off the court is just as important as on the court.
Ever since I was 6 years old, I dreamed of playing High School Varsity basketball and I am so proud of myself because I have achieved that goal and I am a starter as a freshman. I have always promised myself that I would be the best teammate I possibly can and I will help my High School team in every way I can for the next 4 years. I am a very hard worker, extremely disciplined and when faced with adversity on or off the court I attack it head on. I refuse to lose and love stepping up as the leader on my team; especially when we need to rally for a tough win!
My next goal that I am working hard to achieve is to play college basketball. I know that won't be easy but if I work hard on and off the court, I know I can make that dream a reality.
