Personal Statement

My name is Cam Armstrong from Lincoln Way West High School in New Lenox, Illinois.  I'm 5'9” weighing 185 pounds.  My primary position is RHP, and I also play 3rd.  Over the past two years, I’ve been focused on getting stronger, quicker, and improving my mechanics.  In addition to baseball, I have been playing JV/Varsity golf for the past there seasons.

I’m a hard worker both on and off the field.  I pride myself on being a true student athlete by staying on the honor roll.  I lead by example; I carry myself with confidence, and let my performance speak for me.

The pair of right-handers worked their fastballs up to 80 mph while navigating the strike zone to both sides. The two freshman also showed feel for a curveball/changeup combination that should help profile them as starters for this coming spring, displaying advanced feel at times for the strike zone.
