Yazmeen (Yazzy) Whitsitt '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Yazmeen (Yazzy) Whitsitt.  I am a starting Point Guard for both my High School Varsity team and also my AAU Martin Bros. team.  I am a dedicated student, taking honors classes and helping to tutor younger students in my school district.  I love basketball, cycling,  weight lifting and cross training year round to be able to maintain fitness for basketball.  

I have been playing AAU basketball since 5th grade.  I have been involved with two different programs, Iowa Prep and Lady Martin Bros.  I have been to select camps and have competed in select competitions in Iowa.  I am looking to continue my basketball career after high school.  I am an academically focused student who would like to play at a highly competitive academic institution.  I have big goals and once I set them, I do what it takes to achieve them.  I am hard working, focused and diligent in my agenda.  

I am looking for the kind of program that will help me develop into the best possible version of myself, both academically and athletically.
