My long-term aspiration is to play in college and go further with my basketball career in the future. My second/other options would be becoming an orthodontist or to be in sports management. Basketball is my passion; however, I would take great pleasure in practicing orthodontics or coaching in the future. I just hope to have a stable career after basketball.
I am interested in a school that challenges me mentally and physically. I am also interested in attending a very competitive, athletic school. I am now competing at a high school that has a very competitive environment. I love getting up and down the floor, kicking the ball ahead, and moving at a fast pace. Basketball is a sport I have a passion for and hope I can have the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.
What makes me a good candidate for your team? --- I am a leader amongst my teammates and classmates. I am dependable and always put in 100%, in and out of games and practices. I am also a quick learner. If a teammate were to ask me about a play, I would be able to talk them through it and help them understand the fundamentals. I play great defense and learn plays well so I would be able to adapt to any position necessary.
What makes me different from other recruits in character, athletics, and academics?--- I am very selfless and put my teammates before myself so that the team as a whole is successful. I was scouted my sophomore year by Iowa Prep's (TNT5) director Jacob Misener to play on the 17u black team right away, without any tryouts, they said I was exactly what they were looking for. I just finished up my last Iowa prep season over the summer and it was very sad to be done. Our high school team ended the 21-22 year with a record of 19-4 and we were ranked first in our conference. I was on the gold honor roll twice during my sophomore year at Jesup High School ending with a GPA of 3.76. I also received an honorable mention my sophomore year and second-team all-conference my junior season! I hope to get first-team all-conference this year! It will take hard work but I love a challenge!!
