As a seventh grader I started for my high school varsity team. This experience allowed me to grow as a basketball player as well as a teammate, leader, and student-athlete. Being the youngest on the court helped me develop my game and presented opportunities for me to use my leadership abilities in different ways. My goal for our high school team this year is to make the state tournament for the first time in our school's history.
I am also blessed to play AAU basketball for Crossfire (2019 Theisen). Our team had a great year in 2015 going 39-7 and winning the Deep South Classic, the Minnesota State AAU championship, and finishing sixth at Nationals.
I believe my strengths are: a high basketball IQ, ability to adjust my game depending on the needs of my team, competitiveness, coachability, and a love for the game.
Thank you for taking time to read my personal statement!
