Hello! My name is Zoe Alford and I have a goal to play college basketball. My academics are very important. I plan to continue my 4.0 GPA, remain in the Honor Society through high school, and get into the ACT 25 club. As far as basketball, it is my passion. I play basketball all year. High school basketball from August to March and AAU from April to July. I love to score but also love to defend and getting an assist means just as much to me as scoring a three.
I am a 15 year old sophomore that attends Parklane Academy in McComb, MS (1115 Parklane Drive, McComb, MS 39648). I am one of the youngest in my sophomore class as my birthdate is July 7, 2008. I play for Parklane Academy Lady Pioneers in MAIS Class 5A. This past season, as a sophomore, I led the team in scoring averaging 15.2 points per game and 4 assists per game. I have started at point guard on the varsity team since the 8th grade (2021-2022) and received the Ms. Assist team award my freshman year (2022-2023). This past season (2023-2024), the Lady Pioneers won the MAIS 5A South State Tournament where I was selected to the MAIS 5A South State Tournament team. We placed 3rd in the MAIS 5A State Tournament. I was the only sophomore to be selected to the MAIS 5A State Tournament team. By placing third, the Lady Pioneers made the Overall State Tournament for the first time in 6 years. I was also blessed to be selected to the MAIS Futures team. I was selected as MVP for the white team leading all scorers with 20 points.
I am a dual sport athlete and have been a member of the varsity Lady Pioneers softball team since the 8th grade (2021). We were MAIS 6A State Runner-up in 2021. I have been a starting middle infielder since my freshman year (2022) where I was awarded the Rookie of the Year team award. The Lady Pioneers were MAIS 6A State Champions in 2022. This past season (2023) as a starting middle infielder I finished with the fourth highest batting average on the team. Our team won the MAIS 5A South State and State Championships.
I am a member of the High School Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. I currently have a 21 ACT score. I plan to continue to take the ACT to improve my score.
