Kendall Kohler '17 Recruiting Profile

When I reach college,  I aspire to attend the school of my dreams while working hard in the classroom, making connections with new people,  and reaching towards my ultimate goal of playing college basketball.

My character is one like no other. I am one to bring my energy wherever I go and create positivity and share it with whomever needs it. I am a very accountable person, and trust in always 100% a huge part of my personality. I absolutely love to work hard and push myself and others in order to achieve success, whether it be in the gym or in the classroom. Throughout my life I have learned that it takes a certain drive in order to receive what a person wants or even dreams of, I am extremely confident that this drive lives within me everyday. On the court I am a vocal leader, encouraging my teammates and as a shooting guard or point guard, it is my responsibility to control things going on and to be reliable. I am a leader on and off the court with my decision making and kindness.

The game of basketball has shaped myself to be who I am today. With multiple AAU and high school basketball seasons under my belt and I am a very matured, experienced, and skilled player. I handle the ball very well during all times, under pressure or no pressure at all. I have a deep range and can hit the open or contested three, and I can drive/rip to the rim in tight places. Running the floor and getting out wide is a passion. I am most proud of my defense, it is my favorite part of every single game. Getting low and shutting down stud players, and never quitting defensively is a huge part of my game. I can control the tempo of the game and am confident with or without the ball on the floor.

My academics in school are very strong and challenging. I began to take college classes in my sophomore year and high school and now have registered my senior year full with college courses in preparation for the years to come. I know how to focus and use my time wisely in and out of class, and love learning new things! I am involved in multiple different school related and unrelated clubs and activities which constantly keep me busy, especially with sports all year long!
