Malachi Seraphin-Williams '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a positive and hardworking person. On and off the court I strive for excellence and always try to improve on my weaknesses. When I play and practice basketball I always hustle and work hard for the betterment of my team and myself. My work ethic does not decrease off the court and I remain an example for my peers. I am a natural leader and enjoy learning new things and teaching others what I learned.
In the classroom I excel with A's and B's as a result of my hard work I am a member of NHS. I also enjoy volunteering and joined Key Club. Key Club gives students an opportunity to help out the community with different volunteer options. I also joined DECA and learn many key business points. In my free time I paint and write poetry. At the moment I would like to pursue a career in journalism or chiropractic therapy.
My character sets me apart from many because I am easy to get along with, caring, and always push my friends to better themselves and encourage them to challenge me as well. Naturally I am a caring person and want the best for others even those who don't wish the best for me, because of this I believe in treating others with love regardless of how they treat you. I have high expectations for myself and when I fail; I work that much harder to achieve my goals.
 I want to play on a college basketball team with a coach who pushes his/her players and values the idea that a team is a family. I love playing this game and I am blessed to be able to possibly have the opportunity to continue at a collegiate level. Basketball has given me life long friends and hopefully will continue to give me life long memories.
