Ayanna McNair '23 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations revolve around my grades. I believe that sports are important in life and are needed in a young adult's environment, like myself, but academics and grades are my main focus. I make a good candidate for teams, because I have strong leadership qualities and bring a different level of energy to any environment I am put in. I will never give up on my team or teammates, and I will keep trying at something until I understand it and get it right. I am different from other recruits in character, because I show my emotions and feelings through my actions. Through my athletics, I am different because I hold myself to a certain, higher standard and will not settle for anything less than what it should be. I use my athletics to matain focus on the goals I am striving towards in both athletics and academics. Something comes alive in me while playing that helps me to bring something to the team that others cannot. My academics show that I work hard in my classes and do not settle for low standards. I strive to be on the honor roll every quarter, semester, and year. My goal with my academics is to bring some kind of life and drive to the topic I am studying or putting my time towards. Whatever I am assigned to focus on, or to complete, I will put my mind towards and will not stop until I am fully satisfied with the best work I know I can fulfill.
