My family introduced me to the game of golf at a young age. We enjoyed practicing and playing together, which led to me wanting to compete. I became involved in the Junior PGA, as a way to compete in my age group. It has only been the last three years that I have focused on playing competitively. From 2013 to 2014 I dropped my stroke average by eight strokes and from 2014 to 2015 I dropped it by an additional four strokes. Last seasons 9 hole and 18 hole tournaments were: 37, 41, 44, 37, 39, 36, 42, 42, 39, 38, 43, 42, 86, 85, 80, 75, 83, and 90. I continue to strive to be the best I can be on and off the course. This year I've been awarded the Southwestern Conference Academic All Conference, Southwestern Conference First Team, and Class AA All-Area First Team and the Edwardsville Intelligencer Fall MVP Award. I was also awarded the Lady Tiger Overall Low Stroke Average Trophy. I was the Madco and Southwestern Conference Tournament medalist. I ended my season with a 40.7 stroke average and a 16.9 putting average. I placed third at Regionals and I missed going to state by two strokes.
My goal is to continue my playing career in college and throughout my life. The game of golf can help you to meet people and to build relationships that last a lifetime. I am looking to build that with a hardworking, dedicated, and winning golf team and coaches.
I am very dedicated to my academic studies as well. My education is my priority as it leads me into my career path. I am very interested in Animal Science, particularly Equine studies. I love animals and am a horse owner. My school of choice would be a college that offers agricultural programs and facilities. I take honors classes in Biology and Spanish. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and have been on the honor roll all my years in school. Thus, earning me the Principals Award and the Tiger Choice Award for perseverance.
I previously have played violin for seven years until I had to give that up to pursue Agricultural Classes. I am a member of A.R.C. (Animal Rescue Club) and F.F.A. I have also volunteered at various organizations including the Food Pantry, my local church, and the Humane Society.
