July 2016Personal Statement
I started playing golf the summer before starting high school. Golf was a family hobby that I pushed away from as a child. I embraced golf more once I made my high school team. Feeling apart of the team grew my love of golf. I love being on a golf team.
I can bomb a drive and wedge the ball close, but my superpower is my game face! I can put it on during a tournament. My superpower is achieved because of my mental attitude of always pushing myself toward my goals. I am drawn to setting and achieving goals through hard-work and a tenacity to improve. "Never rest until your good is better and your better is your best!"
Whatever I do, I love to push myself on the course or in the classroom which is why I have maintained the same GPA since freshman year.
College golf is my dream because it' is an environment where I can keep setting goals for myself as an athlete and will have teammates who can push me to be a better golfer, teammate, student and person.
